Revised Translation of the Ordo Missae

The Revised English translation of the Roman Missal is estimated to be finished by the USCCB in November of 2010. See this September 2008 'Ponderings' entry for my opinion on the matter as well as a comment/question and follow-up which may be of interest to you. The USCCB Committee on Divine Worship has listed 10 Questions on the Revised Translation of the Ordo Missae from the Missale Romanum, editio typica tertia.

You will find the changes in the Missal for the Priest here and the changes for the laity here (both links open .pdf files which you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader to view). As you will see from both texts, there are quite a bit of changes in the Gloria and the Nicene Creed which will be the most challenging to learn.

If you are planning to buy a new Missal and it costs a great deal of money, consider going with a cheaper version for the next year or two. I subscribe to Magnificat so I should be in super shape until I learn the new prayers. As always, your comments are appreciated. +Catholic Ponderings+ will post any updates as they become available.
