Catholic Company Named to Top 10 Mobile Retailers of the Year

Some good news (for a change) popped into my inbox today and I want to be sure it is not overlooked.  I post reviews of books for The Catholic Company from time to time and sometimes include links to coupons and products they offer.  In exchange for frank reviews, I am able to keep the books and it has been a win-win situation.

Internet Retailer has just named the The Catholic Company as one of the top 10 mobile retailers of the year.  Bill Siwicki, Senior Editor, had this to say:

"The Catholic Co. demonstrates with a smartly designed m-commerce site that it can stand side by side with the sites of many of its peers, big or small. One of the reasons it has made the top 10 is because it not only produced a site that is clean in design and easy to navigate, but did so, unlike most other players in mobile commerce, in-house. Small retailers can look to Catholic Company as an example of what can be done without a big budget and without the aid of any of the numerous m-commerce technology providers."

How big of a deal is this?  Other companies that made the list include Walgreens, Apple, Amazon, Barnes and Noble, eBay, Polo Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger USA and ShopNBC.  The Catholic Company is 'the little engine that could' and I would like to congratulate them on this outstanding achievement.  Well done!
